my sadie's new trick

Sadie has learned how to take off her shirt, and she loves to do it. She just has trouble figuring out how to put it back on. I put her shirt on about 50 times yesterday....She will never go without a onesie from now on!!

my new shoes

I purchased these shoes thinking they were cute. I have really been into browns and greens lately, so these "walking" shoes were right up my alley. I only wear them to exercise. I wore them to the park with the kids, we were meeting Michael after work. I wore them with some white socks....see picture below...
When we met up with Michael, he asked me were my hacky-sack was. Now, that might not be funny to any of you, but it is a big joke with me and my husband. My husband being a surfer from southern cali does not understand the hacky-sack, granola, socks & sandals, flannel shirt mentality. a.k.a. the North westerners. I do not really understand this idealism either, so, needless to say, Michael's comment was a little bit of a jab. I knew that the white ankle socks did not really compliment my shoes, but that was all I had. I rarely wear socks of any kind....ever.

So, I still like these shoes. But how do you wear darker shoes with socks? (w/o looking like a member of the "spindoctors")?

my wonderful job

I have been pondering the awesomeness which is motherhood. It is amazing how much my children can fill my heart. So many times I can see and focus on my flaws, but my children are always there to smother me with their love. I can yell and lose my patience with my kids and they will be so quick to forgive me. They do not hold a grudge. They completely and utterly want me. They NEED me. They think I am the most beautiful person in the world. I can do anything. I KNOW everything. I SEE everything. I am strong. I am a magician. I can make them happy. They want to be close to me all the time. They want hugs. They want kisses. They want to tell me everything.
Some days it is hard for me to see all of this love and attention through the daily "noise". I get tired of constantly fulfilling their every need. I become impatient with their outbursts and demands.... But I know that as they grow older their want of me will fade and they will learn to be angry and to blame me for many of their problems. I am sad for these days to come. So for now, I want to soak up every ounce of love and embrace from my three biggest fans.

my favorite things today

as of late I have been...

1. gaining 10 pounds

2. doing pilates (see above #1)

3. loving weezer's new single 'pork & beans'. I love this picture of Rivers...he looks like a latino cowboy.

4. eating too many chocolate chip cookies (see above #1)

(and I do eat more than 3 cookies at a time.)

5. basking in the hot sun

my catch up post...

My life has been ÜBER busy this month. But now, I feel like I can breathe again. I have obviously neglected my blog and I apologize to all those who have been waiting on pins and needles to read my latest adventure. ....Just a few pictures to feel like I have caught up.

Here is Reese's biker gang....they rule the street. I am thinking of getting them matching leather jackets.

my first kindergarten

Today I registered my OLDEST baby for kindergarten. I am not ready for this and when I say that out loud people just look at me funny. Am I the only one that thinks this is hard? I am so not ready to throw her out into the world, but I am also so not ready to have the desire to home-school. She is excited and ready, she has already requested to ride the bus. I can just see it now...the first day of school, I have out my camera, she has her new clothes on and her hair done. The school bus comes, Audrey takes off with a trail of dust behind her only looking back to yell, "SEE YA SUCKER!"
