my june points

The fun points of June thus far....

Point #1:

Sadie is too cute and fun and sweet and I look forward to spending time with her.

Point #2:

I don't want to brag, but I am a pretty awesome fort builder. I built this one in a corner of our fence on a hot day. The downside to this talent, is that the kids always ask me to build a fort for them.

Point #3:

Reese is such a boy and it seems he is in a constant state of motion. I also noticed that his voice is constantly at the "outside voice" volume. Perhaps he has an inner ear problem, as it seems he is always yelling.

Point #4:

Audrey and Reese are hilarious when they ride their big wheels...Michael set up a little obstacle course for them on our back patio. They are definitely a force to be reckoned with.

Which brings me to ...

Point #5: Michael is a great father!

dear clorox bleach;

i love your germ killing power, your sanitized sent, your ability to make things white. you make me feel safe in a bathtub that has been urinated in. you make me feel safe sitting on a toilet that has been pooped on. you make me feel safe in a white towel that has been used to clean up vomit. you are the cherry in my hot fudge sundae.

my latest fears
1. Carpenter ants taking over my home....I find a disgusting amount at the baseboards in the mornings. I cannot rest until they are all poisoned and dead. I hate ants.

2. Dogs getting into my garbage. The neighbors have the most annoying little dogs that poop in my yard and get into my garbage. I am so close to setting non-leathal traps and setting them lose far, far away.

2. Wearing a bathing suit in public, especially around my family. I am not ready for this. I have never been heavier and am extremely uncomfortable about all of my hideous stretch marks. They are in all the wrong places. Every part of my body jiggles. This is so wrong.

2. My sister in law had a Beatriz Milhazes print up on her website and I just fell in love with this Brazilian artist....I love the colors and the chaos of her works.



3. I am ecstatic to travel to So. Cali...and swim, swim, swim, go to the beach, lay in the sun. ohhhohh...i am excited! My favorite thing is to have such wonderful in-laws that live in a coastal town with a swimming pool.

my Sadie's game

I heard Reese shrieking this morning, so I ran to his aide, and there was sweet Sadie holding two handfuls of Reese's hair in her tiny little fists. Reese was crying, Sadie then went over and gave him a kiss and a love. That made Reese feel better. He calmed down. I told Sadie..."NO, NO! That hurts!". She looks at me with a sweet little grin. Then she is ready to play the "game" again. She goes for Reese's hair, grabs as much as she can and then pulls. Poor Reese. Apparently she thinks it is funny...here is the evidence of one of her pulls...
